COVID-19 The New Mexico Chamber of Commerce strongly encourages all New Mexicans to get vaccinated to stop the spread of COVID-19. We are committed to our members’ health and after careful consideration, we have determined that the safest course of action for in-person events are for participants to be fully vaccinated to attend. We understand that Pfizer was only recently approved by the FDA, and we are not mandating the vaccine for our Annual Membership Retreat. However, after the October retreat we will require future in-person event attendees and staff to be vaccinated.
By requiring individuals to be vaccinated for our events, we are decreasing the risk of infection and hospitalization. All staff and event attendees must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, as defined by the CDC (i.e., at least two weeks since receiving the Johnson & Johnson shot or the second Moderna or Pfizer shot). We will require all attendees to sign a COVID-19 vaccine attestation at the time of any in-person events confirming health and vaccination status.
